8 Months and 3 weeks

I have not blogged in a while, but I want there to be a record of what Jackson has been doing as well as update everyone on him.

He is doing so well. He is now pulling his self up to a standing position using furniture or whatever he can grab on to. He has been sitting up on his own for a while now. He is also crawling around like crazy now. He is exploring and touching new things.

He loves when we sing the ABCs. Sometimes when he is crying, if I sing that song he will automatically get a smile on his face. He also likes when I sing Amazing Grace at bed time to him, even though I don’t know all the words.

He still sleeps with me in the bed even though Daddy wants him in the crib. I can’t help it, I just love to cuddle him all night long. It also makes nursing so much easier, even though I only do it one to two times a night. I know he loves it too! I would just feel really strange not having him with me at night. Since I work all day it is some bonding time for us.

He loves the Kitties (Pearl and Kayley) and gets a huge smile on his face whenever he sees one. They of course have learned that he is not going to pet them like Paul and I do. He usually grabs there skin and fun really hard and they have learned to run when he gets anywhere near them. Sometimes I help him pet them so he does not grab them and they allow it. Kayley has taken to him more the Pearl. I think Pearl is jealous of him, even though she is very understanding of me sleeping with him instead of her now. He is eating three times a day now.
When his is really happy he sucks air in and makes a happy squel. Kind of like the noise someone makes when the are surprised. It is so cute.

He has a nanny named Lindsay. She watches him two days a week while mommy is at work and daddy is at ASU. We are very lucky to have her. She takes very good care of Jackson and loves him like he is part of her family.

We usually give him cereal and cereal poofs. He is still has a little bit of a hard time getting the poofs in his mouth but he is getting better and better everyday. I have been giving him bites of things I eat here and there also. I’m not one of those moms who does not want him to have sugar till his first birthday. I have given him little tastes of sweets here and there. I cant help it I love to see him all excited after he tastes something sweet. No chocolate of course. I gave him a lemon and even though he made a weird face he wanted more. I excited for him to get to get Thanksgiving things athough he has already had pumpkin pie.
Jackson was Luke Skywalker for his first Halloween. His Grammy made him an awesome costume. She also spent the Halloween weekend with us. He loves his blue laser sword and if you even touch it when he is playing with it he freaks out. We went to a pumpkin patch the weekend before Halloween and Jackson got a little pumpkin. Daddy carved a face and one side and Jack on the other side. We went to Aunt Tracey's parents house and enjoyed a pot luck. We also went to Tyare and Sarah house for some goolish fun. It was all in all a great night.
He HATES getting his diaper changed and getting dressed. He screams bloody murder, but we try to do it as fast as possible.

I can’t believe how big he is getting. Sometimes I wish I could freeze time and keep him small a little longer. He defiantly is a mama’s boy. He always wants me to hold him. He will go from crying in someone arms to a huge smile the minute I take him in my arms.

Jackson is getting a flu shot today. I feel bad but since we are flying to CA this weekend I think it is necessary.

Jackson loves when his daddy growls at him and then tickles him with his mouth. He finds it hilarious. He is very ticklish on his ribs and sides.

He is now taking a bath in the big bath tub and loves to move around and likes to pull the drain out.

Being a mom is so awesome and I can’t wait to does it again even thought it will probably be a couple years from now.

Jackson had a fun time helping his daddy blow out the candles for his 31st birthday last weekend.

Jackson Is Six Months

Wow I can't believe it has alreay been half a year. As Paul says "time goes so fast with Jackson around". I'm so busy. I can hardly find the time to blog and I miss it. I'm so glad it is a three day weekend! Jackson and I are going to Tucson today to visit Great Grandma Flo. We are very excited to spend time with her.

Jackson has been doing so well. He had the sniffles and was coughing a little this week but he seems to be getting better. I have a very sore throat today and I'm really scared that I could give it to him.

He now eats cereal two times a day. He loves oatmeal with peaches, bananas, applesauce, carrots and sweet potatoes. He is not a fan of the green veggies. He likes to drink out of a regular glass but I'm trying to get him to drink frm a sippy cup. He cant quite hold it yet. He is getting close to sitting up on his own. He is continuing to drool and loves to chew on things. We think he will be getting tooth any day now. Thank god for teething tablets and Tylenol. I hate seeing him in pain.

Jackson had a great time with his Grammy last weekend and a fun day with his Aunt Jessica yesterday (Paul's cousin)!

Hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend!

Nanny

We are on the hunt to find a nanny for Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:15 to 4:15 starting at the end of the month. Yes I may of waited a little too long but I posted it on http://www.care.com/ and had tons of replies so hopfully it will work out. If you know anyone or would be intrested we are looking to pay ten to fifteen dallors an hour to come to our house and take care of Jackson.

Jackson got his first cold. He had a fever which freaked me and Paul out and it only go to 100.08 which is not that bad but he felt so hot. He was coughing and sneezing all day yesterday and then today it slowed down alot. I hated seeing him uncomfortable, poor little guy. I don't know what I'm going to do when I see him even sicker. It was so hard seeing him suffer.

We are very excited because Grammy and Aunt Mary Nestvold are coming this weekend to visit. We can't wait for them to get here!

Jackson is rolling over and babbling up a storm. He has also started to reach for me. His favorite toys are his Elmo rattle and excersauser. He hates we when laying him down even to change his diaper. If he had it his way we would be constantly standing and holding him.

He gets more of a personality each day. I can't wait to see what his next new thing is.

Loving Both My Guys So Much

Jackson has been doing so well. He just gets cuter and cuter everyday. I love him so much sometimes I just want to hug and squeeze him forever. He loves to play this game where I count to three and then put him the air and say “Blast Off”.

He officially is rolling over. Daddy got him on video doing it but mommy accidentally erased it . Daddy is so good with him. He has him during the day till I come home from work and then he leaves for work. He plays games with him and helps him with his stretching for his neck. He just has a mild case now. I guess what he has is pretty common. I love coming home from lunch and when he sees me he gets a big smile on his face but then it turns to frustration pretty fast because he wants to eat.

He is starting to get a little anxiety when away from his mommy or daddy. He hates waking up and not seeing either of us. I always come running but by the time I get to him he is usually pretty upset. When I give him to people to hold he has recently just starting crying because he wants his mommy back. I secretly LOVE IT.

He loves to put anything and everything in his mouth. He is also grabbing at anything in front of him.

I have continued to taking him swimming and he seems to enjoy it.

His hair is all the sudden growing like crazy. Everyday he has more hair. It is growing in the same direction as his daddy (forward with a calic swirl in the back).

I have fed him a lot of different things now (my doctor told me I should start). He has had sweet potatoes, peas, bananas, oatmeal coral, rice cereal, squash and last night for the first time carrots. He seems to enjoy it but is always trying to grab for the spoon or bowl. He always stares at me while I eat like he is thinking “where is my food”. Yesterday as I was feeding him his carrots he hit the spoon right as I was giving him a bite and carrots went into his left eye. I was so freaked out and washed it out right away the best I could but later in the day he still had some in the corner of his eye.

Lucky us, we get to go to California again this weekend to visit Grandma and see Uncle Steve for his birthday, but Jackson and I are sad because daddy will not be able to go. He has to stay home and work at his new weekend job at Carumba (where we had our rehearsal dinner).

Well just wanted to add some words on the blog since it has been mainly pictures and videos lately. Hope everyone has a great week!
